Dharma
Age: 5 yrs.
Sex: female spayed

ADOPTED BY THE KITZMILLER/FORSTER FAMILY - 7/4/26 Dharma is close to 8 plus lbs overweight, current 34. Short and stocky. More than a bit spoiled (translation beagle stubborn) by her original elderly owner who recently passed away. She has been fine around other dogs she has met including Beth’s 3. She was not a nail trim fan or a heartworm test fan, not used to restraint - her spoiled side coming out. Attentive, seeks folks, has a nose on her. LOVES WALKS! Bolt
Age: 1-2 yrs
Sex: male neutered

Bolt was one of 5 beagles dumped at a trash facility in TN. We originally stepped up for two but when the other three had no where to go, we took them all. They are different levels of shyness with Bolt being middle of the road. He is fun, energetic and follows the lead of another friendly dog. Good in his kennel and learning a schedule. He needs patience and love to continue to blossom but he is a happy boy that just wants his own home. Contact Rayne of SOS Beagle Rescue

Zinnia
Age: 1 yr.
Sex: female spayed

ZINNIA was found near starvation by a group in KY but has regained weight well. Happy, nose driven. Playful but will get into mischief if left alone. She wants to be with her people so much that Beth caught her climbing up the corner of the fence onto the shade sail to try to get to her! Will need a 6' wood or vinyl fence or someone committed to leash-walking, as she eyes the top of my 4' fence with every step. Appears housetrained. One accident within hours of arriving after a 14 hour drive, and one today after asking to go out and I took time to let others out first - totally my fault. Energetic girl, would love another dog to play with. This beagle is sponsored by: Donna Monek in memory of Kasey & Maggie & Lavender Blue Contact Linda of SOS Beagle Rescue

Remi
Age: 3 yr.
Sex: female spayed

ADOPTED BY THE KEMMERER FAMILY - 6/30/26 Remi was adopted from SOS as a puppy, but with kids 5, 3, and another on the way and her husband in the service and deployed often, it just became too much for this mom.
Remi is a sweetheart, although a bit clumsy -- she didn't realize that jumping up to say hello to the kids could knock them over or scratch their fragile skin. She loves being out on her dogbed, is a bit hesitant to go into her crate, but once in settles nicely.
She's good with other dogs, a bit strong on the leash and could stand to lose 3-4#. She'd love a family with older kids, a fenced yard or someone who likes to take long walks. This beagle is sponsored by: Donna Monek in memory of Kasey & Maggie & Lavender Blue Contact Steve of SOS Beagle Rescue

Wyatt
Age: 2 yrs
Sex: male neutered

ADOPTED BY THE DAY-NAUGHTS FAMILY AND K9 SISTER LUCY - 6/27/26 Wyatt knows a leash but is strong on his walks, especially straight out out of the chute! He'll come with a harness. He did go over Beth's 3.5' gate to see a neighbor but was all smiles jumping back in Beth's car.
He's a happy boy, has met a few of the other dogs. He would prefer you over a crate and will complain for a while if you're in his sightline but settles better after a walk. Clean in his crate. A bit on the chunky side with a recommended weight loss of 3-4 lbs. Contact Linda of SOS Beagle Rescue

Rook
Age: 3-4 yrs.
Sex: male neutered

Meet Rook
Rook is a stunning dark-coated boy with a gentle soul who is looking for a patient adopter willing to let him settle in at his own pace. He can be shy with new people and is cautious about being approached too quickly or picked up, so he'll need someone who understands that trust is earned, not rushed. Once Rook feels safe, his affectionate and loving personality begins to shine.
Rook enjoys spending time outdoors, soaking up the sunshine, and relaxing with his people. He's incredibly social with other dogs and has yet to meet one he doesn't get along with. In fact, he would thrive in a home with other confident, friendly dogs who can help show him the ropes and build his confidence. He is a huge fan of good treats, good smells, and good napping spots.
His house training is progressing well with a consistent crate and potty routine. He sleeps quietly through the night in his crate without a peep and settles nicely when given structure. Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, he may mark indoors if given too much unsupervised freedom too soon, so continued management and routine will be important for his success. A belly band is a great training tool for adult neuter male dogs. Google their use as a training aid. With time post neuter those lapses have lessened weekly.
Rook is the kind of dog who blossoms when given patience, understanding, and a safe place to land. For the right family, watching him gain confidence and learn to trust will be incredibly rewarding. He has all the makings of a loyal, devoted companion..he simply needs someone willing to give him the time he deserves. Contact Joan of SOS Beagle Rescue

Ruggie
Age: 4-5 yrs.
Sex: male neutered

ADOPTED BY THE TOSCANO FAMILY AND K9 SISTER FERGIE - 6/27/26 Ruggie is a lankier boy that fence runs with Beth's cantankerous Romeo. He gets along with all the other dogs in her kennel. He takes a minute to warm to new dogs but does well after so slow leashed introductions are needed. No fighting or anything. Has been out with 8 and 28 lb dogs
He has an unusual gait. X-rays show a previous break at the top of the iliac crest, not at the joint so no issues there. Just walks a bit splayed in back end.
Loves people, happy dog. Did well with 10 year old visitor. Contact Linda of SOS Beagle Rescue

Huck
Age: 2-3
Sex: male neutered

Huck likes a chew toy, he is still jumpy around noise and sudden movement. Rode great crated in car. One potty incident since going to foster. He has two safe spots in the home and tends to stay in those areas but getting braver. Not a mean bone in his body. Had to work with him to get him to drink water in house - he would seek buckets outside or the foster's spring fed creek. Now getting used to it. Will drink from a glass of water! He will try to invite himself to dinner and likes coffee.
Not bad on leash but pulls when excited but manageable. Loves to sniff. Has been quiet. Will sleep through night. He got loose once and howled at her cousin who was helping get him from the field. He is a flight risk initially until he ettles and knows you. He came to them with a bowl of food.
The vacuum cleaner and lawnmower don't scare him, but drop a phone or a loud truck drives y and he'll jump, shake, tuck his tail and go to his safe spot. Hesitates a bit over door thresholds. He'll need a patient home, preferably with a secure fence and no young energetic children who might scare him with their energy.
Huck's NJ foster said He is house trained but he had an accident when someone in my neighborhood set off fireworks. I will be testing crate training this week as I wanted him to decompress. My kids are 12 years old. He loves them. He is fine with my dogs and cats. Definitely a good fenced yard where he can't escape - as it has taken him 2 weeks to get a little comfortable with us.
SOS Note -- this is the type of dog that wants he gains confidence will be your best friend. Contact Lisa of SOS Beagle Rescue

Mia
Age: 2-1/2 yrs.
Sex: female spayed

Mia could be Your Future Best Friend!
Personality: Sweet, curious, a little shy, but full of love!
If you are looking for a true hound with a heart of gold, meet Mia! This lovely beagle girl is ready to find her forever family. She has a classic beagle soul, which means two things are absolute guarantees: she absolutely loves her daily walks, and she is highly motivated by delicious food!
Mia's Favorites & Quirks:
- The Great Outdoors: Mia is an avid explorer. In true beagle fashion, she loves to track and chase wild animals, so she'll definitely keep your backyard clear of squirrels!
- Playtime: When she isn't sniffing out a trail, she loves playing with her favorite toys.
- Social Butterfly: She gets along with other dogs, making her an excellent companion if you already have a resident pup.
- Crate: When it's crate time, she might protest and bark for the first 10 minutes, but she settles right down after that and stays quiet.
What Mia Needs in a Home:
Mia is looking for a patient and understanding family. The big world of a new home with all its unfamiliar noises and sudden sounds can be a bit overwhelming for her right now. She can be a little skittish in the beginning, but if you give her just a little time and space to adjust, her sweet, loyal personality truly shines through.
With a routine, a few treats, and some gentle reassurance, Mia will blossom into the ultimate loyal companion. Contact Cristina of SOS Beagle Rescue
